Hand in Hand - Nausea Presidential Style
February 8, 2006 |
Headlines for the serious, somber and non-political event for Martin Luther King’s wife. Did I say none political? Sorry, my bad. How would you like to be President Bush Sr. who was stuck between former President Carter and presidential wanna-be Hillary. Barbara must have been able to get out of that seating arrangement.
I for one remember a day when being a former President meant keeping quiet and at least looking presidential after leaving office. Carter… still teaching Sunday School class and spewing garbage at these events. Sure he sounded gracious but listen to the content with a critical eye. Consider one element of his speech concerning the illegal surveillance of Martin Luther King Jr. years ago. Who in government was responsible for this?
In October 1963, Robert Kennedy had authorized a wiretap on King’s home phone. It was barely six weeks after King had held the crowd on the Washington mall spellbound with his history-making speech.
Democrats perform illegal wiretaps on its own citizens. Then they trash Bush at a funeral… I better stop. I don’t think my stomach will hold down what little food is left. Amuse yourself with the following headlines.
Democrats Use King Funeral for Politics -Democrats, including Jimmy Carter and Reverend Joseph Lowery tarnished a church service in celebration of Coretta Scott King’s life to take political pot-shots at President Bush, who was in attendance with the First Lady Laura Bush.
THE DEVIL MOVED INTO CORETTA SCOTT KING’S FUNERAL - So a black preacher at Coretta Scott King???s funeral poked at the United States President George W. Bush seated just a yard or two away from him.
King Funeral Site Of Political Grand Standing - Atlanta, Georgia (AHN) - Coretta Scott-King???s funeral was a somber celebration of a life lived fully, and for some speakers a time for political viewpoints to be broadcast on a world stage.
King funeral witnesses strong anti-Bush sentiment - When Martin Luther King was assassinated in 1968, Lester Maddox, the governor of Georgia, refused to attend his funeral in Atlanta, branding the civil rights leader “an enemy of the country”.
What a bunch of phonies there to grandstand for political motives. Standing ovations at a funeral for this nonsense. It looks like a “Mad Mad Mad World” out there.
