Send out the Posse and round up the illegals. At least one Sheriff in Arizona is doing.

PHOENIX, May 9 ??? To people who say round up more illegal immigrants, Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Maricopa County here has an answer: send out the posse.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Maricopa County said 146 people have been arrested in the eight weeks since a team of deputies was formed to search for smugglers.

On Wednesday, the posse, a civilian force of 300 volunteers, many of them retired deputies, are to fan out over desert backcountry, watching for smugglers and the people they guide into these parts.

Certainly he isn’t without compassion but he has a determination to enforce the law.

“I have compassion for the Mexican people, but if you come here illegally you are going to jail,” said Sheriff Arpaio, an elected Republican, whose county is the fourth most populous in the country and among the fastest growing.

The moonbats are crying foul for his intimidation of illegals.

“It’s really an attempt to intimidate immigrants by threatening and imposing incarceration,” said Victoria Lopez, executive director of the Florence Immigrant and Refugee Rights Project.

Meanwhile, the Sheriff might also round up the border patrol for illegally reporting American positions to the Mexican government. Michelle Malkin continues to report on this situation.

Meanwhile Nevada seems to have a different approach. Though delayed (not Tom) they expect to have a Mushroom Cloud going up over Nevada. Perhaps they might test along the Mexican side of the border with a few small ones. Will the intimidation factor come into play. Or does the Nevada state government hope that such tests will make the desert inhabitable for illegals crossing their lands. I think it would be impressive to do a day time explosion and one at night for the most impact.

Next step? Watch for the ALCU to slap a lawsuit on the Sheriff and the nuclear test for frightening illegals who won’t come now and denying them their God given right to come illegally to America.
