Pelosi Loses Her First Fight

Well, considering she didn’t support him strongly will diminish her loss in both her mind and that of her fellow dems. Yet a loss is a loss. Nancy Pelosi did support John Murtha and she didn’t get her candidate in. Thats the final story.

Just for the record. I agree with Rush and hope that John Murtha would have gotten the position. He was the one who stepped up and called for the troops removal. He was the one who best represented the new Dems position. The rest rode in on his coat-tails and now they ditch him.

Just another reason that they can’t be honest about who they really are. Let Murth get his position. Let him call for immediate withdrawl of the troops. Stop pretending that Murth and Pelosi don’t represent your true positions. Why back down after you won the election. But then again that was the problem the Republicans ran into after they won the elections in the 1994 race. Will the Dems disintegrate into intra-party fighting and positioning? Possible…. even probable. Lets see now just how they handle power. It will be interesting to blog the coming 2 years.
